hi, I'm Whisper!

I'm an artist based in Los Angeles, working across poetry, performance, software, and hardware. My work manifests as real infrastructure which I use whether you're watching or not. But I like when you watch, and love when you play along.

I am a 2025-2026 Supercollider Sci Art Ambassador Fellow, a 2024 Eyebeam Democracy Machine Fellow, and a Y10 Incubator Member in New Inc's Extended Realities track. I am also a co-steward of New Art City, an online art space that I co-founded with Don Hanson and Benny Lichtner in 2020, which now hosts over 100,000 digital artifacts across thousands of virtual spaces.

I'm better known for my previous avatar, Sammie Veeler. Sammie still serves a tactical purpose: her SEO is immaculate. Nobody else has her name. I only use Whisper on domains I control, and I have mostly been propagating the IRL DNS manually. Zuck doesn't get to know my name. I put off publishing this site for some time because I was afraid of the real DNS, but I'm proud to say this website is hosted on a server sitting on my desk!
